Bird eggs

I tried some Korean candy the other day. My friend Bean tells me it’s called sae-ul – ‘sae’ means bird and ‘ul’ means egg so it’s ‘bird eggs’. The pieces look like M&Ms but the chocolate tastes a bit different, a little more like carob, and on the pack it seems to mention that they contain DHA (an omega-3 fatty acid). The pack cost 42c (so much cheaper than Japanese imported chocolates!!) from Komart grocer in North Strathfield.

Aren’t they a tad large for M&Ms? I was thinking they looked more like Malteasers.
