Vegas vacation

America is so fun! We have been having some amazing meals and are loving the shopping. Right now we’re in LA but we spent last weekend in Las Vegas. Here are a couple of yummy pretty things from there. Above: a Statue of Liberty made of jellybeans at a candy store in New York New York casino.

Toffee apples the size of softballs in New York New York.

A dulce de leche banana split sundae at Haagen Dazs.

A chocolate burger cake served with a root beer float, on the menu at the Wynn casino’s Terrace Point Cafe. Still wishing I had tried this…..

Just retired, and I have a LOT of much-deserved free time that I’ve been waiting to use. Las Vegas is one of the tops places I plan to visit frequently.

I have a question. I’m American, and here we call those candy apples. Why call them toffee apples when they’re dipped in candy?

Hi Ritzy roxie I think we got that from the British – we call the hard sugar mixture they’re dipped in toffee.
