Camembert cheesecake

As a lifelong fan of camembert cheese, I was very excited to find this cake in Nagano, Japan, in a souvenir shop that sold specialties from the region. It’s cheese-flavoured sponge cake with mini chunks of camembert sprinkled over the top. It doesn’t taste sweet. They make regular cream-cheese style cheesecake in Japan too, but they also have lots of cheese-flavoured cakes like this one. The things they do with camembert in Japan are pretty cool!

Like this camembert bread from Paul patisserie in Umeda. And I think I will always regret not trying this Camembert fondue pizza from Domino’s.

Chi, yes maybe it’s a good thing Dominos doesn’t make that pizza in Oz… 🙂

San Smith, it was super cute, each piece was only about 1 inch wide. Very tasty 2!
