Kit Kat Mail

kit-kat post

As if it wasn’t cool enough that Japan Post collaborated with KitKat to make an official “KitKat Mail”, these candy care-packages have another purpose. In Japanese, Kitto Katso means “surely win” so these were available as good luck charms to be sent to students. They were on sale in post offices all over Japan just before university entrance exams. They have two mini KitKats inside. Apparently they were such a successful campaign that they won lots of marketing prizes

This was the ad outside the post office.

it’s interesting to me to see how popular the Kit Kat brand is in Japan…here in the US all we get are regular chocolate ones, but there are so many varieties and different products over in Japan…i posted about this very thing a while back on my blog….it’s really interesting. nice post! 🙂
