Curious about…

galler

…these exy “Galler” chocolate bars from fancy goods grocer Thomas Dux, Surry Hills, Sydney. They’re Belgian chocolate in yummy flavours like Coconut or Raspberry or Dark Praline. But they are $6.50 for a 70g bar??? On the Galler website, it says the founder, Jean Galler, ‘was born into a luxury dessert environment’ (how good does that sound?), he worked in his grandfather’s confectioner’s shop, then studied chocolate making in Basel and Paris. Anyway, has anyone tried this yet?

Galler chocolates are easily found in supermarkets in brussels where my boyfriend lives. if i remember it correctly- they cost only 1 euro per bar. I had some of their milk chocolate, didn’t try the most exotic flavors. The milk chocolates taste are pretty okay. Can’t say they are exception since good chocolates are everywhere in brussels.

Sookoon, thanks so much for your comment! Brussels sounds like it’s chocolate heaven, wow. I haven’t tried those Galler bars yet, so thanks for the heads-up. πŸ™‚

We have Galler shops here in Dubai.
They make these little rectangle waffles [from frozen :o(] but the iron that they use imprints the Galler logo on it.. and you buy it with a yummy hot chocolate! The shops do ice cream too!
