KitKat of the week*

IMG_9841

Most KitKats on sale now are summery flavours, like Ramune and Sports Drink, but this is a wintery taste – Yaki Imo (BBQ Sweet Potato) KitKat. In Japan, from the end of autumn, you can buy delicious, roasted sweet potato (yaki imo) from street vendors. This is actually a trial KitKat given to Ben by one of his students; the student’s father works for a snack company! So I guess it won’t be released until later in the year! The yaki imo taste isn’t overpowering. It’s super-yum.

Ebony – Yep, they must be calorie free! I love the smell of the sweet potatoes roasting. So wintery ! Like the Japanese equivalent of chestnuts roasting on street corners in Europe.

Lyn – Oh my gosh, dream job! I would love to watch the japanese kit kat makers having a meeting to decide on new flavours!

That’s so unusual! But, then again, I remember the sweet potato and black sesame muffins from MisDo, so I think this probably tastes just as nice.
